God Blog awakening

So a weird and wonderful thing has happened during the past two weeks: Daily traffic at The God Blog doubled and then doubled again. Yesterday, a Saturday when I was away from the computer all day, was one of my highest traffic days since I started blogging seven months ago.

The big question is: Why?

I have little clue. So, if you're a new reader of The God Blog, let me know how you found it and what you think. And if you've long been a loyal reader, please let me know what you enjoy and what you don't.

Found you through the Bible Belt Blog.

A fellow journalist just called and suggested a reason for the spike in God Blog traffic: Maybe God liked seeing his name in print and e-mailed the url around to his friends, or encouraged his followers to read it.

It's an interesting, if ridiculous, concept. I'm not sure though. Journalists do get a bad wrap for the way they treat God.

Dear Bradley,

Yes, my child, I did stumble across your site while Googling 'god' and 'porn' (it's good to make sure folks don't use the name in vain, you know) and found TheGodBlog.org. Well done!

I did want to let you know that I harbor no ill will toward the media. After all, you kids are just doing your jobs. It's not your fault there are all those nutjobs on both side of the religious debate that louse it up for everyone who wants to have an intelligent conversation.

Anyhow, TTYL 'cause I've got nuclear war to avert and sports games to attend to (how do you think Stanford beat USC? Hint: praying for a team named "The Trojans" falls on deaf ears, fans), but I did want to point something out:

I think you mean to say "journalists get a bad rap" in your final graf. Unless, of course, you think that I'm retaliating against reporters by sticking them with subpar burrito-like sandwiches, popular in the mid-Nineties. Either way, I mean you and your noble profession no harm.

KIT,
The Lord

I think I might have mentioned you at RNA, and then I included you in my list of favorite blogs. Don't know if that helped. It'd be nice to think I have that kind of power... Bwah ha ha!

Well, Ted, I'd never want to underestimate your power. And I noticed two weeks (?) ago that you mentioned me in your list of favorite blogs. Thank you for that.

These moss-skinned trolls could regenerate lost limbs and heal grievous physical injuries, but they proved to be a barbaric, wow goldwow goldwow gold
evil race. The elves developed a deep loathing for the vicious trolls and killed them on sight whenever they were encountered.

After many long years, wow goldthe high elves finally found a land which was reminiscent of Kalimdor.wow gold Deep within the northern forests of the continent, wow goldthey founded the kingdom of Quel'Thalas and vowed to create a mighty empire which would dwarf that of their Kaldorei cousins. wow goldUnfortunately they soon learned that Quel'Thalas was founded upon an ancient troll city that the trolls still held to be sacred. Almost immediately, the trolls began to attack the elven settlements en masse.

The stubborn elves, wow power levelingunwilling to give up their new land, utilized the magics which they had gleaned from the Well of Eternity and kept the savage trolls at bay. Under Dath'Remar's leadership, they were able to defeat the Amani warbands that outnumbered them ten to one. wow goldSome elves, wary of the Kaldorei's ancient warnings, felt that their use of magic might possibly draw the attention of the banished Burning Legion.eve online iskeve iskGuild Wars goldLOTRO goldLOTR gold
Hellgate London PalladiumHellgate online goldSilkroad gold Therefore, they decided to mask their lands within a protective barrier which would still allow them to work their enchantments. They constructed a series of monolithic Runestones at various points around Quel'Thalas which marked the boundaries of the magic barrier. The Runestones not only masked the elves' magic from extra-dimensional threats, but helped to frighten away the superstitious troll warbands as well.
